I wish for a hat.

You get your hat but every time you try to put on the hat it just poofs away from you.

I wish for some cookies.

You get some cookies, but you're deathly allergic to them.
I wish for omnipotence.

You get your hats but they elope and leave you behind.

The world turns out not worthy of being owned, as there are more unpleasantries than you can handle.

I wish for nicer, more optimistic people in the world.

An army of happy people erupt from your chest, killing you instantly. They apologize, but say that it was "for the best, probably, all things considered."

I wish for a kingdom to rule.

You get your kingdom, but all of your subjects are plants. And they're plotting a violent rebellion!

I wish for beautiful music.

You are captured by aliens and they perform various experiments on you, successfully removing your ability to think and replacing it with the ability to perfectly recall tunes. They hook your brain up to a speaker and you become a sort of biological ipod shuffle.
I wish for a bunch of choice hotties to surround me at all times.

The hotties are literal on women who are scolding hot to the touch. You are indeed surrounded by them and are then promptly set on fire by their heat.

I wish for a better lab assistant.

You are discredited and your research is no longer taken seriously. You receive no money and they take away your lab, and you are forced to get a job as a lab assistant. You are, of course, much better at it than the interns.
I wish for a good meal.

Your meal is indeed exquisite. That is, it certainly looks that way; but before you can dig in, a rather surly young miss muscles you out of the way and scarfs it down. What a punk!

I wish for a freakin' burrito

Your burrito proceeds to get its freak on down at the dance floor. You watch in horror as it ganks moves straight out of the sixties.

Except you now find they are the ONLY form of currency your country now uses, so every single thing you buy, you have to pay for with dozens and dozens of pennies, because at the exact same time as all this, a powerful computer virus infects all the card machines of the same country for good.

I suggest you move to a new country now, while you still have some pennies...

I wish for ALL THE SUPERPOWERS.

You get them all, but you can't stop using any of them. Your eyes emit various uncontrollable beams everywhere you go, and your size and shape is in a continuous state of flux. You can hardly move due to teleporting and time travelling so frequently, and alongside your various clones, you destroy the world and then yourselves. Lovecraft writes a story about you, but it is never published, as you absorbed the energy from the big bang and thus prevented the formation of a universe wherein it could be written in the first place.
I wish for plane tickets.

You get three tickets for a flight to Cuba. The flight left a week ago.

I wish for some rain to cool the place down.

it rains for years. everything within your town is eroded and washed away. Eventually, a lake forms.

Young Justice now has a fantastic third season. Which is so fantastic now everyone and their mother is trying to copy it, to the point of market saturation. Follow The Leader ensues, and as always, Sturgeon's Law applies. Now, because of the fantasticity of Young Justice, all Western animation shows are superhero shows in one form or another, and most of them suck beyond belief.

I wish there were more non-rule 34 fanart of characters from my favorite PS1 game.

Your wish is granted. However, it's granted by excessively stereotypical deviantartists, and its all non-explicit OC/canon character yaois drawn in the style of nyan neko sugar girls. Shrek makes an appearance, for some reason.
I wish to forget about all the embarrassingly awful movies I've seen.
