| Sup, I'm Elliot! Statters and Stats are also fine nicknames. I'm a zombie apocalypse buff, pizza vacuum, and local narcoleptic wonder teen. I love animated movies, I'm a huge fan of Roosterteeth and related media, I love Let's Plays, and I'm an artist of a coming-soon webcomic called Fantasy Land, which I'll definitely make a post about in another board here once the ball is rolling.
Starting in fall I'll be starting college, where I'll be majoring in Computer Science at Cal State Fullerton after two years of community college. The Computer Science course there is basically actual computer science (aka computational mathematics[aka has a 49% graduation rate and requires calculus iii and up]) plus a decent amount of programming thrown in. I'd like to work with new software, as well as with 3D programs. I'm not sure whether I want my Bachelor's or Master's degree yet. I will probably minor in something art-related.
I'm narcoleptic! I'm actually pretty proud of it, since it's something that makes me unique. It's not severe enough to send me to sleep while I'm, say, walking or some such, but if I sit down for a bit there's a decent chance that at some point I will basically pass out out of nowhere, regardless of what I am doing or how interested I am in my activity. I'm without medication for various financial reasons, so I can't get a driver's license yet, sadly. But I'm not actually that worried about it overall.
My steam ID is misstatteredstates, if anyone wants to add me. I regularly play Left 4 Dead (both games!), TF2, and Dragon Nest. I play Maplestory and Elsword on occasion, and I have Minecraft, as well! If you want a full list of all the Steam games I own, just ask, or take a look at my profile.
My tumblr is statters, and I've never changed my username. In my about me there's a list of all the webcomics I read!
My skype is melo-rena. My display name on Skype changes sometimes, so if you want to keep track of me without hunting me down, just right click my name after I've added you back and hit "Rename" and just put in Elliot or something idc.
I also "run" (in a loose sense of the word) the Paranatural Skype group! If you'd like to be added, please feel free to post here or message me your Skype USERNAME (not your display name)! My ask box, a PM here, a post in this thread, or a message on Steam are all fine by me.
I'm very amicable and am open to roleplay requests! I'm happy to RP with characters from series and games I read/watch/play, as well as RPing with original characters and fancharacters, given no interaction with canon characters occur.
In any case, I think this has gotten long enough. Please feel free to ask questions or start up a conversation with me!!! Especially if it's about food. I highly value my food. Actual Taurus sun sign here; it isn't surprising. I love food so much. Please talk to me about food. FOOD.

Hey Elliot Two-l's-but-one-t. Good to know I have a compatriot in nomenclature. You can find all of the embarrassing shit I said when I was thirteen just by searching for one username; it's kind of oool, but at the same time really embarrassing. Oh, and welcome to the forums. |

| Hello, good to meet you! If you'll excuse my saying so, it seems strange for someone like you to spend a lot of time on a computer. Could I ask why you would? |

| That... Is a very well written introduction. It's nice to meet you. I also do a lot of Steam things. I've spent the most hours on TF2 (460) (And then Terraria (160)), but generally I like to keep it fresh, and play a variety of games, rather than get really into a single one. If you're into stalking people, you'll find my Steamname is Vuanaunt. I too have a skype (but only really use it for my IRL friends.) Also, it's cool meeting a narcoleptic person. However I'm actually an insomniac, so I guess we must be bitter rivals or something? - Von Aardvark wrote:

Pizza is my favorite food, but I also love shrimp, curry, paella, potatoes, and almost anything with noodles. I also have a shameless love of quick meals like Chef Boyardee food and frozen, microwaveable foods, but I've been trying (and only barely succeeding) to cut down on such things. I really like vegetables and fruit, as well! I like gummi things and lollipops on occasion. I do love ice pops, too; Otter Pops are amazing. Ice cream is also great. But I'm not overly fond of most other artifical sugary things. Despite the fact that I like baking, I don't actually like cake or cookies, save for the rare times I get sudden cravings. Cake icing makes me physically ill. Outside of that, I'm happy to eat most anything! I love cooking for myself, and I try to make things from scratch so it'll be healthier. I'm lactose intolerant, but I have pills for that so it's not much of a problem. What about you? I love hearing about what people like to eat. - Eragon5055 wrote:

Welcome to the forums! Thank you. I've earned more nicknames than that in the past few years, so anything you can derive from "Elliot" works, as well. - Soroya123 wrote:

Thank you, and yes, I do! I used to read Skip Beat religiously, but I stopped. I really need to catch up. My first manga series that I finished was Kamichama Karin, and I've loved all of Koge Donbo's works since. I have a good portion of the Eureka 7 manga, too! I'm particularly fond of Junji Ito, and I've recently read Hayakawa Nojiko's manga at a friend's recommendation. I've finished Kare Kano, and I need to catch up on Dengeki Daisy! I used to read Rave Master, but I stopped for some reason...? I have a lot to catch up on, haha! I've read a lot of other manga, but those are the ones that immediately come to mind. - Tren wrote:

Oh, and welcome to the forums. Glad to hear it, friend! Names are great. My favorite part of character creation is naming them! I've changed my main internet handle once, actually, but it wasn't until after I'd moved out of my mother's house and into my grandparents'. Since then I've been known as Statters online. My old handle was littered with a lot of stupid stuff I'd said, haha. Veeeeeeery few of my current friends know what it is, because it's so embarrassing. - Von Aardvark wrote:

I'm not quite sure where you got that impression! I don't really have any friends in the area; the closest are a good hour's drive away, and since I can't drive, seeing them is hard. I'm also rarely in good health, so going places really exhausts me most of the time. And considering my college goals, being inside on the computer is helpful, as I can work on my programming and artistic skills. (Don't let me fool you; I spend most of my time at the computer playing games, haha!) - Vuanaunt wrote:

Also, it's cool meeting a narcoleptic person. However I'm actually an insomniac, so I guess we must be bitter rivals or something? I accept this proposal of a rivalry. We must now perform the customary exchange of passive-aggressive jabs and mandatory ribs-elbowing. I was considering buying Terraria since it's on sale right now. I've heard it's very fun! I have a lot of games as well, mostly gotten through bundles, sales, and gifts from friends. I added you on Steam! We should totally play TF2 together sometime. I mainly play Scout, but I also like Pyro and Sniper. I'd play Spy if I weren't so horrible at his class, haha! |

Yeah, actually. I finally have a theme for it, as well as a good portion of the arcs plotted out. Now I just need to get into the nitty gritty stuff.

| ALSO, what are the characteristics of narcolepsy? By my knowledge, and by that I mean what I've just now read on wiki, Narcolepsy seems to be a very tedious trait. How does it affect your life on a daily basis? |

PIZZA. And seafood. And spicy things! What about you? - JGhero wrote:

It's a problem where (and I'm paraphrasing here) part of my brain just cannot handle the idea that sleep cycles are a thing. I have EDS (excessive daytime sleepiness) and I frequently get nightmares and wake up several times a night most nights. I also get sleep paralysis on occasion, though it;'s really lessened in the past few years. It's not too severe; I won't fall asleep completely randomly, and it'll only happen while standing under certain circumstances. The biggest trigger for me is if I'm not physically moving very much, as well as when I'm sitting and when I'm reading for an extended amount of time. There are two different ways sleep attacks can come on for me: 1. Passing out. This one is more frequent when I'm sitting down. I'll be doing something, feeling a bit tired, and then suddenly I'll be waking up anywhere from a minute to ten minutes later, and in the worst cases, fifteen to twenty if I'm not in a horribly uncomfortable position. I usually won't remember falling asleep in the first place. I get a lot of sore necks from this. 2. Extreme drowsiness. And I'm not talking about just being tired. I'm talking about falling into microsleeps (where you fall asleep for just a few moments before jerking awake again) and being unable to keep my eyes open at all. These usually result in falling asleep like when I pass out, but I usually remember actually falling asleep. Sleep becomes so irresistible that no matter what I am doing, curling up on my desk or leaning back to fall asleep becomes the more important and mandatory option, and I'm unable to stop myself from doing it 90% of the time. I'm unable to get my driver's license without a prescription, which I'm unable to get right now. It makes school really hard for me; I go to a school where I sit at a computer desk for four hours and do my schoolwork on a site/learning application called Apex, and I can't curl up or get comfortable in the chairs there like I do at home, so I'm stuck sitting in the same position READING for four hours at a time with only a ten minute break in the middle. I fall asleep more in school than I do at home because of this. I actually just passed out about half an hour ago while watching a friend's stream. I wasn't actively engaging my hands typing or drawing (and even doing those I sometimes fall asleep) and after about fifteen minutes I just PASSED OUT. I was only asleep for a few minutes, I think. It's certainly a problem for me, but it doesn't RUIN my life. It just presents me with challenges! I'm learning to cope with it now that I'm diagnosed. I appreciate the curiosity! |

My most definite favorite food is seafood. Any kind of seafood, man. Fish, shrimp/prawn, crab, squid, octopus, lobster, even seaweed! Would love to try eel someday. I'm a meat-eater all the way, though I don't eat what I'm not allowed to eat, for one reason or another. I love eggs, eggs make me happy. Salted eggs even more! I don't like most green vegetables, but there are some (cucumbers and broccoli come to mind) that I do like, though I don't hate them to the point that I won't eat them. I'm a big boy and I can eat what I have to! I love dessert-y stuff like ice cream, pudding, cake, and pie, but I hate yoghurt. Don't like the sourness of it, which is weird because I love citrus fruits. In fact, orange is my favorite fruit, alongside the banana :9 Y U NO LIKE COOKIES?! Cookies are awesome, chocolate chips even more so~ Too bad about your lactose intolerance... Milk is my favorite drink. Ever. As you can see, I am a cat at heart, hence why I delight in scarfing down fish and milk! ...oops, I went off on a ramble again, it seems... |

| 1. Pizza... YUM. Seafood...yuk! I don't know why I despise seafood so much... growing up in Hawaii you'd expect me to be used to it! Pizza and most spicy foods I can handle however My favorite meals are mostly pastas and such. Lasagna is the biggest distraction to me. If I'm ever within a 50 yard radius of lasagna, I'll probably go hunt it down (much like a fox who sniffs a rabbit in the distance). 2. Yeah, sorry if I'm too nosy about the narcoleptic thing. Odd brain function really interest me. Narcolepsy seems like a pretty big nuisance to to have. |

| I can't believe I missed such a cool individual! How do you do and may I offer you a late hello/welcome to the club. I too have a few questions; what is your favorite scout load-out/Tf2 map/Hat and have you ever read the Fullmetal Alchemist manga? What is/has been your favorite job and are you of legal age to drink/favorite adult beverage? Random questions to make/meet a new buddy. |
