I think Issac could be the Lancer

He seems to be the one most separtated from the group because of his ideals. Another observation while powerful, I don't think he is the heavy hitter of the group. He thinks He is the most powerful of the group but Mr. Spender thinks it is Isabela and I'm more inclined to believe his opinion since I don't think he is being bias on that assumption. Mr. Spender seems like he does care for Isaac and is not trying to put him down. Isaac just might be overestimating his abilities. Mr.Spender might also be making his estimates based on his personality, which Zack even said it was 'stormy'. He's calm one minute, overreacting the next. Chapter 3 page 31 is an example to me to show that his anger can override his ratianale and Max had to calm him down (with puns.) THis might be a major weakness in a fight.

Isaac also is a strong believer in justice, so he might also act as a concience for the group.

Awesome analysis on Isaac! I'm under the impression that Isabel is the most skilled of the group but I think that Isaac definitely has the most potential since he is possessed himself he would definitely get more powerful once his spirit begins to take over more and more of Isaac which also makes Isaac the most unstable. I feel like Isaac may either turn on the group or just go rogue and do what he feels is right with Doorman. But he is definitely the Lancer.

Isaac's definitely powerful, and his involvement with the Doorman lends to him having big stuff going on later.

I think Isabel might be the most unstable though, we've seen her blood knight-ish tendencies already, but I suppose we'll find out more in the upcoming chapter.

Seems Ed, in his own way, stabilizes Isabel out a bit, but we'll see to what extent that holds up later as well.

I kinda got the reverse impression, Isabela seems happy and content, and in battle confident and aggressive. Isaac seemsto be the one with the mood swings and seeing his spirit, I don't entirely think it's his fault. The spirit's attitude might be affecting Isaac because of their close nature and it is rubbing off on him.

Funny thing is that, yes Isaac is powerful and has huge potential, but Isabela actually has a rock-paper-scissors advantage because she is using flying wood techniquely, lightning not much good against that.

I think Ed will serve as a stabilizer for everyone in a way, but more on that later.

The difference between the characters, for me, is that Isaac has issues with his mood, he gets really angry really quickly.

Isabel, however, is gleeful at the chance to take down a spirit. In a bit of a frightening way.

She's enthusiastic about her job

I like to get more info on her, but so far I think she'll fulfil the team role of The Berserker
Calm and helpful outside of battle and even friendly. But in battle, be glad she's on your side.

Now onto Max. He's the Rookie. He's shown snarky and quick on his feet and witt. Word of Zack says he's the one who will exploit the flaws and laws of the spirit world and generally be the one with the clever idea. This to me puts him in place to eventually become the team Leader. He may not be the strongest and his tool is not exactly fit for spirit combat as the things he can draw to him will pass through spirits, but he makes up for it with quick thinking and will probably be able to discern what roles the other members are the best at. I also feel he has become friends with Isaac and will help keep him tied to the group despite the differences of opinion between Isaac and the others.
