PostSubject: Hello there.   Mon Feb 15, 2016 10:40 pm

Greetings!

I'm here now, though I'm unfamiliar with Paranatural. I read this at the behest of another new user, Mister Ceiling (I am the unfunny friend he mentioned). I don't typically read webcomics because I find them to be really tedious, but I have enjoyed Paranatural so far. I have only read the first chapter, so I'll see where this goes, and hopefully have a great time reading it. I don't tend to join forums and then leave, so expect to see me around, regardless.

About Me:
My name is, admittedly, somewhat misleading. I'm only sort of a douche bag. I'm not really good at describing my own personality, so I just won't. As for likes, I really love music and would like to do it as a career, but I'm beginning to wonder if this is not a dream deferred; I also enjoy a variety of books, shows, movies, etc., as most people do. Particulars will likely be revealed later. I also watch way too much a lot of anime, even though it is probably the trashiest medium around. I love to play table-top RPGs, playing 2 campaigns irl (one of which I GM), each with a session every other week, a biweekly text-chat session and a quasi-daily post-by-post session through the internet. I conlang, too, but haven't been finding the time to do so recently.

I'm not the best with introductions.

I see a fellow here! I do love me some animes and table-top RPGs! I used to play with my family (my dad being the GM) and had a group of my friends, but my dad got too stressed and we took too long with our actions and argued too much so we eventually had to stop. My friends found it harder and harder to make the meetings and we only got through like 1 encounter every meeting so that came to a halt as well, and unfortunately that means I'm not currently playing any table-top RPGs. Sad

Welcome to the forum, by the way! There's a bit of a competition going on between Westbrook and me (and occasionally SpiderTiki) to see who can post all the posts, and it is my ambition to have my name pop up as the most recent poster as much as possible, so you'll definitely be seeing me around lots!

Ah, bummer, no table-top. I've heard of some bad experiences along those lines. Its really easy to get stressed while GMing; I pretty much started GMing because our other GM was sick of it and wanted to get back to playing. I haven't been GMing long, so I haven't felt much burnout... yet. Anyway, if you can't get into any irl games, maybe some online ones, as an alternative?? Most of the problems I've had with those are about scheduling.

Anyway, thanks for the welcome, everybody!!

Happy to have you!

My friend tried to switch is to an online game, but the system she chose was weird and confusing and we never even finished setting everything up, so we never got around to actually playing.
