Johnny clearly has some kind of healing powers. I mean he was unscathed after two incidents involving Max's scooter. Plus that hooded guy is probably a spirit in disguise or something?

He was still hurt, but he didn't feel the pain because apparently he's a doctopi magnet. That's what the shade on johnny's head was in the first chapter, a doctopi. Don't know what r.j. is, though he\she can't be a spirit, since johnny and them can see them.

In fact, Johnny cannot see RJ. Only his sweater. Also, doctopi will not heal you and a scooter landing on one's face... tends to offend.

They don't need to heal you, it was a comedic recovery. Zack kinda proved that he don't have powers when he cant see spirits. You can't access tool or medium abilities till your fully spectral.

I would like that. One day RJ gets in a fight, loses, and is forced to possess Johnny, giving him spectral powers and the ability to control really baggy hoodies.

Okay, to clear things up, the Doctopi feed on pain, which would essentially be a numbing effect. They can't heal, but they're the reason he didn't feel hurt after the scooter incident.

As for RJ, we've seen a tiny glimpse of what's really under that hoodie and I think there's a slight chance RJ is a medium or something, but I doubt it.

Okay so the newest panel basically dispels any theory that anyone in Johnny's gang is a spectral, cause they were outside of the barrier and therefore can't be spectrals, mediums, or spirit's/ghosts. basically they're just really weird middle schoolers in the middle of a spirit and ghost filled town

Ghosts can still go through the barrier, but if they were ghosts, they couldn't be seen by the other characters, so we already knew they weren't.

yeah, but Johnny will almost definitely become a spectral eventually because of Forge possessing him. Zach mentioned that that would be exposure to paranatural stuff so even after Forge leaves Johnny will stay a spectral(probably)... the activity club is gonna have their hands full
