Ok! So, you all know that feeling you get when you wake up from an awesome or just really bizarre dream, but have no one to talk about it with? This topic will be that place where you can share your dreams. This may or may not catch on, but at least it's interesting

To start off: Awhile back, I had a dream where I was a vigilante superhero at a college somewhere. I'd run around the campus at night in disguise, taking requests and completing them in an RPG style. Sadly, it ended abruptly with the entire world being transformed into pancakes.

Ok this is an old one.
I had a dream where I got cut in half by a chainsaw. (Ironically I am an Aquarius. If anybody reads Homestuck, you prolly know what happened to THAT troll. And all that before I read Homestuck. Curious..). I then proceeded to frolic (somehow) through a city setting things on fire (I was somehow whole)
Yeah.

I had the strangest dream the day before yesterday about some kind of creature that posed as a friendly human and eventually trapped large groups of people and baked them or something. I recall feeling pity for her at some point, but after the crowd had suddenly disappeared and she began cooking in a kitchen, I think I threw her out of a window, smashed a pot on her, and then proceeded to punch her repeatedly, because I was apparently supposed to capture her or something. I wish I understood it more.

I had this one dream a while ago where I was a Pomeranian dog amongst a dozen Pomeranian dogs. We were suppose to be doing something (I forget what that was) but like cause I was a dog, I knew what all the other dogs were saying and stuff.

Someone said the magic words of "Spring Chicken", and I basically "hulk up". My body morphed into a buff, human-like body with my fur all over it, but my head stayed the same. So small Pomeranian dog head on a furry, buff-human body. After I transformed, I started chasing after all the other dogs around me, and then I woke up. That was one weird dream.

Speaking of weird dreams, have you ever had a dream that was a continuation of a dream you had before? Once, I had a dream about some 30-something year-old guy with two kids and a wife trying to save a natural history museum or something with his son and daughter. But when doing this he had somehow been transported to the different time periods and become a creature there, and there was something specific that he had to do for each section before he could move on to the next, save his kids, and the museum.

A few years or so later, I had another dream, and this time it was a continuation of that one. I know this because it started with the guy transformed into something else, but eventually it changed into something about a huge, white, stone building with a river or canal next to it and a hill/field on the other side. The canal or whatever was made of water and concrete, and the sides reached just above the ground on either side. At the bottom of the hill there was a party or something with a rack full of lots of poofy dresses, and I got to choose the dresses for people, including myself, before everyone joined the dancing. There was a ship there too. Then there was something about an old lady, like, a witch or something, and I had to choose a special item from a paper bag. She said only one item would react to me, and that it would come to me on its own. When I pulled it out it was some weird, malformed green comb. Then me and a group of the same number of women and men got on the ship, and we set sail, but the one who was steering the ship was upset because one of us had gone missing, a lady in a pale green dress called "Pear," except it was in Swedish. He slammed the ship into the side of the canal, damaging it, and I leaped out of the ship, grabbed hold of the side, and used my body as a buffer between the concrete and the ship so it wouldn't be as damaged, but he just kept slamming the ship anyway, and I was eventually very much battered and broken and bleeding and whatnot but I somehow managed to get back on the deck and yell that Pear wasn't dead, (this was in swedish too) since the ship was magic and her room was still there. (If she was dead, then it would not have created a new room for me, it would have given me Pear's room.) Then I'm not quite sure what happens, but I woke up soon afterwards.

Haha, those are really weird dreams! My friend and I used to talk about our dreams but it's been quite a while now.

Yep I know exactly what you mean! Those are always neat. It's like you learn the rest of the story.

Something I seem to get a lot are dreams that leave you really screwed up after you wake up, like you lose touch with reality somehow and spend a lot of the morning in a stupor. I haven't had any super weird dreams in the last few weeks so I can't give any examples, but I've certainly had my share of them.

You know, this isn't really dream related, but sometimes I'll look around and the real world looks like a dream, even though I know that it isn't. It just feels sorta surreal and I have no idea why it happens. It's only really happened twice, though. Once when I was lying in bed and looking around my room, and twice when I was standing outside my house sometime in the morning.

Actually, that might be something I could incorporate into a story of some sort... mutter mutter murmur

Whenever I encounter a really cool area in a dream, I always try to incorporate it into a story or game level or something. Too good to pass up!

I know, right?
For a little while, since I have a journal, I decided to write down any dreams I had, but I keep getting up late on school days so I don't have time, and by afternoon the dream is mostly forgotten so I stopped after a little while.

I think my brother keeps a dream journal...I never really have though. I used to try to draw out some of the areas I saw in dreams, but I'm not a very good artist, so they only turned out so-so, hah.

Yeah, I've tried to draw things I've seen in dreams too, though they usually ended in a not-so nice looking representation. Once, though, I focused mostly on an overhead view to show where things were, and did nothing for the actual prettiness aspect of the drawing, since it was kinda hard to explain what happened without a diagram. There was something about a cliff behind me and alligators, I think.

Heeey I had a dream last night. It started out with Steve Jobs being an art teacher, and I was a part of his class along with a few friends. He was kind of grumpy, and you had to get something exactly right to avoid his wrath. At a later point in the dream, it was raining really hard, and I was outside in my robe. I seemed to be somewhere near my path to school, so I tried to get there. I met some lady, who was nice to me and talked to me and we walked together for a while (we walked on the sidewalk of a street which was flooded, but the sidewalk was fine, which was odd.) Eventually we got to a staircase (which is not on my way to school) and I asked her if she knew how to get to X street from here, and she pointed in the direction from which we had come. I don't really remember much else after that, except that I left the lady and I pulled out a phone which was mine but not really and I had to fiddle with it to get it to do what I wanted it to do. Also, I was cold, 'cause rain.

It's always fun how after you wake up you're like "that dream felt so real" followed by "wait that makes no sense, that wasn't even my phone" followed by "I would never be outside in my bathrobe" followed by "hold it, Steve Jobs isn't even alive anymore what the heck are you doing, brain".

Yep. Brains are weird, and so they make some pretty strange dreams.

I had a dream last night I was walking on a nice path in the drizzling rain, which is about the best thing ever.

Also there were a lot of bears on the path, I don't know what their deal was. They were really close but never got aggressive, so...oh well?

Cool. Walking in the rain is nice. The bears part sounds pretty nice too, actually, since they didn't attack you.

I just woke up from a pretty wierd dream. All I remember is part of it.

I was trying to watch VHS tapes of movies on our tv, when suddenly a stream of water starts coming down from the ceiling. The stream was a few feet in front of the tv, obstructing the view of it. I put down a pan to catch the water and then pick up a phone to call someone.

Then the stream got a little worser, then a bunch of creaking from the ceiling, and then the ceiling fell on oneside like a big board slanting upward from the back of the living room.

It was after dark, so I had to call the emergency maintenance number, but I didn't know what it was. So to get the number, I found myself in some hospital facility and asked a nurse for it. I didn't hear a certain number right, so i wrote down and later called the wrong number. Because of that, i was sent to an outdoor prison. And thats the dream.

Huh. I also had a dream last night, but it wasn't nearly as weird as yours was. The only thing I really remember from it is that I stole some of my dad's chocolate. Like, 2 pieces. And it was some sort of chocolate from See's Candies, and they were both caramel and they were delicious. I almost stole three, but I decided not to.

Wow, you stole some candy? You should have been in the outdoor prison, not me! xD

I know, right? I did not regret it though, because it was so tasty.

Ok so last night I had this kinda weird dream.

I was this random, good-hearted kid, and I was like the hero of my world which I saved a few times. What I was doing in the dream, I was connecting my world to another, which I've done before. This place was an Egyptian desert place, and when i connected it, i made a big announcement that "We should be friendly to our new Egyptian neighbors!"

Thing is though that the world was actually sealed off from ours because of it's evil. The 2 old guys that were helping me connect the 2 worlds knew this and thought I was pretty stupid to be connecting them, but hey, you don't just tell the hero that he's doing something stupid and wrong, so they just went along with it for me to learn the hard way!

After a couple days of being connected, my world was slowly being engulfed in mild thunderstorms. this was caused by the other world but I didn't know it at the time cause I'm an oblivious fool. And then I woke up!

Sorry for doubleposting. It's been about 10 days since my last dream/post so I thought that noone was going to reply to it anyway. I was hoping there was a way to edit my post and make it show up like there's a new post, but I didn't find it so yeah...

Anyway, this time I had 2 dreams. The first one doesn't really make sense, so I don't feel like typing much about it, but there was this girl I meet in the dream that was pretty chill and pleasant to hang out with. In the dream, we were kicking around a soccer ball and she was having a hard time kicking it. For some reason I thought to make it more fun by doing stupid poses while kicking the ball. I did some karate-looking pose and said I was a "flying crane". Then she said she was a corn cob and I asked her how, so she did a pose where she put her feet together and her arms straight up with her hands together, and that was her corncob pose. I really enjoyed hanging out with her in the dream. Now that I'm awake, I miss corncob girl.

The next dream was pretty wild. I was playing some virtual reality sci-fi shooting game, and I actually got to higher stages than normal people in the game and higher than some good players. Some. The thing is though that I was pretty low level cause I got scared and started stealthing past bad guys instead of tactical shooting like the game was suppose to be played haha. Somehow the game let me get away with it. Also there's this mechanic where when you get to a certain stage, a randomized character is created based on how well you do on stages, and that character comes after you and tries to kill you. That character for me became some cyborg girl who was OP cause of me getting to high stages and not getting hit much at all because of stealthing.

That stealthing too helped me avoid her detection for a long time, but I eventually died to something. When she finally found me, dead before she could even challenge me, she thought it was a shame that I didn't get to face her since that character mechanic is a big deal in the game, and she thought I was strong since she was and it's a waste for what she thought would be the battle of the century to just not happen at all. So she decides to pick my body up and find a voodoo guy to revive me. After I was revived, I was basically stuck in the game with people after me. I had to find some way to get out. Turning off the game would have killed me in real live, but restarting the game/mission or whatever was ok. Eventually i got out of it and was about to go home when i woke up.

Yowzuh this post is bigger than I thought it would be!

That last one seems like it'd make a pretty neat story... I never have dreams with a coherent storyline. Or maybe I do but I just don't remember them when I wake up >_>

That does sound like a really cool story! I also have dreams with storylines and things, which I think is pretty cool. It would be a shame to not remember them, since some of the dreams I have can be pretty interesting. I feel like I had a pretty interesting dream recently, but I don't remember what it was about anymore...

Yeah, the last dream was definitely interesting. The people that were after me wanted to sacrifice me for some ritual. Apparently like, some person being stuck in that games world was some hidden prophecy to the characters of the game world itself, and wasn't anything that was programmed. Kinda strange, but yeah it would make a cool story... or game haha.
