I noticed that there wasn't an outside-games general thread yet, which was odd. Feel free to use this one.

Wait, could you clarify what you intend this thread to be?

A general thread for talking about video/card/board games, similar to the movies thread, the books thread, or the music thread. Obviously.

Nope, I know a friend who has though and he explained the plot to me. Plot holes up the wazzoo.

Mmmn, not really. A couple of flawed decisions along the way but still one of the best games I've played in a long time.
A complex plot, certainly, but as far as actual "holes" go, things stand up to scrutiny.

Spoiler:
I say its got holes because it introduces the conceipt of the multiverse and then tries to kill someone perminently from it. That doesn't work. As soon as you make a descision, the opposite will happen in a new and different universe. Also killing DeWitt, the one that has lived through the game and knows the consequences of Comstock also makes little sense.

Spoiler:
That's not what happens. There aren't truly "infinite" universes in this, interestingly enough. There are lots of different realities but they operate within probability, not possibility. For instance "he doesn't row," from the beginning of the game. The Lucetes have taken Booker to the lighthouse many times and he never rows. Also, it's not "killing Dewitt," it's collapsing his timeline, essentially. None of the events happen because Elizabeth is cutting off all possible options. She's symbolically drowning DeWitt, that's not the "actual baptism" or all the other people would have been there. But I feel like if you're just basing this off a friend describing a game you can't quite have received the full picture, and that's quite alright.

The only thing I've heard about it is people saying " racist? What do you mean racist? Certainly not racist, never", which arouses more suspicion than it removes, almost. I don't really have a way to play it, though, having no money and all.

What, Bioshock?
Yes, the location you're in is incredibly racist, that's one of the main themes of the game, how screwed up Columbia is. It's not promoting racism though.

Yeah, alright. It's just seeing so much backlash to the idea a people being offended by a thing makes me tend to think maybe the thing is offensive. It would be pretty skeezey to promote racism though.

Anyone check out Injustice?
I tried the demo, It looks awesome but I can see many things that will annoy me, though it might be just me.

I've playing Dark Souls 3 non-stop for the past 2 days. Holy moly, this game is so. Darn. Good.

Cool! I've heard about it, but I haven't really played it myself. I rarely manage to beat games that have special collectables or achievements (or both) because I usually try to aim for a 100% completion, but then I get interested in some other thing and do that instead.

I got it too! I've only been able to play it like 3 hours overall though. I'll play it a lot this weekend.

Haha, I'm also very much a completionist. I have, like, SO MANY PlayStation platinum trophies. So many.

Yo, I made this video of me talking over a randomized Pokemon Emerald rom gameplay, so I'm sharing it here since it has a video game in it.
Also I've been playing alot of Final Fantasy Tactics for PS1 recently. I'm kindof doing alot better then the last time I tried playing it. Now that I kinda have my players fight more as a group and stay together. The main battles are kinda tough though with how I'm playing the game.
