Dude's got some sick powers. Of course, we know all spirits have some degree of power, but what lefty has done so far goes way beyond producing spectral butterflies. Also, he's able to interact with the physical world at will, something that it seems most spirits cannot do. To top it off, what's more mysterious than a floating glove?

So, I'm curious to know what other people think about lefty. From outlandish conspiracy theories to legitimate observations, I want it all!

My theory is he's probably somebody who knew PJ in life, and as such protects the boy in death. Maybe a brother or father?


Alternatively, he's one of the Doorman's gloves. He escaped the Doorman's oppression and now lives with a prepubescent ghost boy.

Lefty's a piece of the broken god, and after being seperated from righty, used limited presience to determine where max would bring whatever piece he is carrying, and waited.

My thoughts is he is a ghost of a severed left hand, the person that he comes from is still alive!!!!

Or maybe he's the ghost of someone who was cremated alive, but they stopped the cremation process before his hand turned to ash? (alternatively, fell into a volcano, stood under a rocket, some kind of industrial fire)

Obviously the only logical assumption at this point is that righty is the main antagonist and also the master of scrapdragon's faction. He's also Max's uncle, of course, and Mr. Garcia's father, but that's besides the point.

Or, maybe we've been taking "left" the wrong way all this time. Maybe Lefty is actually the ghostly hand of someone who was left behind somewhere, all alone with no food, water, company, or anime. This person was then forced to eat his left hand, but this did him no good and he died of starvation. This prompted Lefty to feel guilty after coming back, explaining his (its?) protectiveness of PJ, who also died before he had a chance to taste his toast.

I checked the comments a bit, and Zack said it was pretty unusual for a spirit to be able to do more than one thing with their spectral energy. (I'll try to find exactly where it was.) Maybe, since he was able to produce a spec-shot, he's the ghost of a spectral's hand? Maybe he has some sort of relation to Boss Leader? They're both wearing concealing clothing, and I think their spectral energy is the same clothing.

I think you mean "the same colour"   and I just checked, you're right, both are actually white! we may be on to something. Or it could be that Lefty's grey while BL's white, since the hue is slightly different...

Well if anything it definitely speaks to lefty being a powerful spirit? Detachment of BL? Given Spender's remark on black spectral energy being common, and Grandpa's disciples having no one with white energy it might be pretty rare and rarity is always a sign of power in superhero lore. Or it could be BL's a medium or a spirit herself and has the power to split into different parts.

Wait hang on it makes sense. What if BL is wrapped in fabric because there IS no body, only an ethereal substances, while BL split herself into different sections, each protecting something important or performing some job?

That sounds like a really cool idea! Maybe the corner store has something to do with the mystery? Maybe Max's dad was part of it?

Those are pretty good observations! I really hope that's how it turns out. (With BL and asuch)
