So how bout them music? What kind of music you guys like or what band do you guys like?
Right now i'm listening to a lot of Motion City Soundtrack. and I tend to listen to a lot of Punk rock/pop punk stuff but my music taste is pretty stretched out.

I mostly like anime/video game music, but I have a good ear for Jazz Hop too. I have a playlist of easy music I like to listen to.

I pretty much exclusively listen to some form of rock: pop, punk, alternative, classic. I like to think that my tastes are eclectic but they're not, really. Lately I've been super into SOD and MCR. I also love David Bowie, Hootie and the Blowfish, Pearl Jam and Rob Thomas.

Music, I'm all over random genres. I generally stay away from rap or country though.

Me? I'm a rock and metal guy, through and through. I don't know that many bands (I'm what you might call a 'semi-casual music fan'), but my favorites are always some form of rock and/or metal. My favorite band is Linkin Park, followed by Sum 41 and Red Hot Chili Peppers. These are probably pretty generic, I know, but hey, I love 'em. What can I say? Muse ranks high too.

Having said that, I like pop too. Quite a lot, actually. I'm not one of those "rock is the only true music" or "death to all but metal" kind of guys. I might not like the music of, say, Justin Bieber or One Direction, but I certainly don't hate them for it. I'm a huge fan of Michael Jackson, and I quite enjoy some boybands' music (Backstreet Boys come to mind, as well as Blue).

I like classical music, though I know about them far less than I would like... Really, I'm actually pretty open to music genres. Rap, country, techno, punk, you name it. As long as it's not... jazz. Don't kill me guys, but I hate jazz. I despise it. In fact, there's no music genre I hate more than it. I hate it even more when saxophones come into play (which is to say almost all the time!). I'm more tolerant of saxes when they're played for blues, but jazz? No thanks. Everyone has tastes and jazz just isn't my cup of coffee, y'know?

Oh, and video game music rocks my world. Just sayin'~

I have a pretty wide pool of music that I like. Though my favorites are alternative, classic rock, indie and electronica/house music and some rap.
Scrolling through my playlist really quick I cherry picked some artists. Flying Lotus, Death Grips, Fun., Kendrick Lamar, TNGHT, Mumford&Sons, Ratatat. There we go.
The only genre that I cannot listen to is country and stuff of the like.

My taste in music is a bit varied too. Mostly I like rock/metal kinda stuff, but it's not unusual for me to listen to something techno-like, or some kind of 90's pop, maybe some rap or industial or just general alternative. I'll listen to anything from U2 and Backstreet Boys, Oasis to things like Mudvayne, Staind, Shinedown, Tool, FooFighters, Combichrist, Manson, Disturbed, AC/DC, Papa Roach, Sum 41, Nine Inch Nails... Yeah I could list this stuff for pages upon pages... >_>;

I'm bring this topic back because I've been listening to the new Fall Out Boy album, Save Rock and Roll, aaaaaaaaaaall daaaaaaaaaay.

And what do you think of it?

It all depends on your taste in music but Phoenix is definitely one to check out and Alone Together is really good and so is Just One Yesterday. But the whole album has a wide variety of styles so you are almost guaranteed to like at least one of the songs on it.

Yeah I was like that the first time I heard the new stuff but then I kept listening to them and got absolutely hooked.

Awesome! The whole album is really nicely put together and even features Elton John in one song!
