So we know something weird's going down in Mayview. Dunno what yet, so here's some random ideas.
On Ch 1 Pg 18, we get this conversation:
Since we later get a few alt text describing spectral energy as colorful gas, such as Ch 3 Pg 3...
I'm not gonna rule out Max's theory.

Nice idea, but the nightmares in question were related to PJ, who turned out to be real. I don't think any of this stuff has to do with the overarching mystery beyond being related to Spectrals in general.
If you ask me, whatever it is must be somehow related to Spender's battle with "the strongest spirit".
