This looks like a quiet thread, but if you all don't mind, I'd like to recommend a new anime called Mekakucity Actors. It's based off a series of Vocaloid songs called Kagerou Project, which is pretty cool.

...i hate you... Im now addicted. Curses upon you... This thing is beautiful...Eneeeeeee.... *goes back to obsesively reading*
I was thinking of starting Deadman Wonderland soon, although I'm not sure if I should watch the anime or read the manga.
I found a playlist with all the Kagerou Project songs if anyone wants to listen to them as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hN_UJHwDFk0&list=PLfiDGOkT0cOqvOtD44Wj8LlKuTsdn11P_
I always think whatever came first is the best thing to start with, in this case the Manga.

*ahem* Let's revive this thread a little bit, 'cause I love me some anime/manga talk! Whatcha all watching and/or reading currently? Me, I just finished Attack on Titan and currently watching an old anime called Arjuna Oh, and keeping up with the immortal, unending epic of One Piece, of course!

Unfortunately, I never really could get that into One Piece, despite all the positive reviews of it and such. Right now, I'm watching Ushio and Tora and Fairy Tail, both of which are awesome and ongoing. Ushio and Tora is kind of dark at times, while Fairy Tail is usually more lighthearted, but both of them are hilarious! Fairy Tail has over 150 episodes, though, so if you prefer shorter anime, then that probably isn't for you. Ushio and Tora has around 25 right now, but it seems like it'll keep going for a while, since it just started a new arc. At least, I think it did. I'm no anime expert. I just sit and mindlessly watch it!
Attack on Titan is AWESOME and everyone should watch it unless you don't like gore then don't.

Tate no Yusha no narigari (sheild hero)
Red storm (its technically a manwha but whatever man rules are for squares)
Tales of demons and gods (manwha again see above)
One Punch Man, I've actually been reading it for a long time so im alot farther ahead of the anime but it is really enjoyable to see it finally getting the attention it deserves

I've watched One Punch man as well! I wish it was longer though... I know I could just read the manga, but then I'd have to either buy it, (which I'm too lazy and stingy to do) or find somewhere to read it for free, which would probably not be the safest/most legal thing. I haven't seen any of the other anime though, as far as I know.

Did you watch One Piece? Because AFAIK the manga is way better than the anime (much less the 4Kids dub... *shudders*), so maybe reading it would make it easier to get into I have a kind of love-hate relationship with Fairy Tail, though! To me personally, it always seemed to alternate between 'meh' and 'OMG dis is teh best thing evah!1!' arcs
And yeah, Attack on Titan is all the rage! Probably the most unputdownable anime I've watched since Fate/Zero years ago! And that opening theme tho...

*Immediately sings the opening to Attack on Titan* Which are your favorite Fairy Tail arcs? Personally, I really like the Edolas arc, not necessarily because of the story or anything, though I do like the story as well, but because I LOVE parallel universe/alternate world stuff, and the way they handled it was absolutely hilarious! The newest arc was absolutely heartbreaking though... I feel sad just thinking about it.

Haha, my alarm ringtone when I get up in the morning is actually a segment of the Attack on Titan OP song set.
I used to watch a lot more anime than I do now, but recently I did watch One Punch Man, and that was pretty neat.

One punch man was pretty good, I watched it recently. I also recently finished watching all of the original yugioh. I liked the ending, but it was so sad...
And I'm sad that we won't get to see natsu and co for a while in fairy tail, but I'm excited for mavis's backstory. Little Mavis is so cute!
Also, I'm watching one piece for the first time, and its actually pretty good. I tried to get into it a few years ago, but I quit before the intro was over for some reason. Wonder why...

Ah, anime... My MORTAL enemy! sometimesiwonderwheremylifewentwrongthenirememberalltheanimeiwatched...
That's enough of that, though. As much grief I give anime for being so terrible most of the time, I still love it; there's no point in denying I'm a huge weeb. Though, I haven't watched much anime recently. I just haven't really seen much that looked interesting. One Punch Man was the only anime I watched last year. Did I love it? Hell yeah I did! As for this year, I've taken a quick gander at what's in store and... I am not looking forward to any of it; but that was last year too, so maybe something good will come out later in the year idk.

Personally I like a lot of different kinds of anime, so I'm never really short on shows to watch. If you want to watch anime but don't think anything new old interesting, how about you take a look at some old anime shows and see if any of them catch your interest. And if that fails, then you could try watching the first episode or so of random anime and see if any of them catch your eye. Personally a really good one right now is erased: it's a mystery show with a little bit of time travel.

I may watch erased; I'll at least watch the first episode.
There really isn't a problem with any kind of anime; I'll watch pretty much any genre or aesthetic or whatever. I have a lot of older anime on my 'To-Watch' (most of them got to be old writhing in my 'To-Watch list) so I'll see about checking some of them out. I've also been in the mood to rewatch Darker than Black for some reason, so I'll probably do that.

I haven't heard of that one (DtB), maybe I'll take a look. Would you suggest it?

Oh my stars, I would absolutely suggest it. It is reeeaaally cool. It's pretty much about people with what are essentially superpowers, and every time they use their powers they get an overwhelming compulsion to go some meaningless task. The plot follows one of these people as they use their powers for global espionage and such.

Oooh, meaningless tasks! I'll take a look sometime, after I watch the bajillion shows I'm already watching...

I recently made a point of watching a sizable majority of the current anime season. I'm not so far yet, but already have some opinions about what I have watched. Koukaku no Pandora has been a pleasant surprise; I went in expecting it to be utter garbage but it was not so bad. I wouldn't call it 'good' but I guess I'm still watching. ERASED was also a pleasant surprise, and I say surprise since it's the first A1 pictures production I've liked since Anohana, which was years ago. There are some things I don't like about it, but at this point I'm not sure if they even matter. The show could continue on so strongly that these complaints become irrelevant or the show could go on terribly and these complaints continue to annoy me. In any case, it has definitely intrigued me, so I'll see where it goes. That being said, their tandem production, Hai to Gensouno Grimgar, is decidedly mediocre at best. Musaigen no Phantom World has been kinda okay, I guess. The character design is beyond generic (with the notable exception Ruru-chan), the backstory is just kinda stupid (or at least it was conveyed poorly), and ridiculous anime bullsh*t pervades this anime from the beginning (if you've seen the limbo gif, you know what I mean), but it has a pretty good aesthetic and the overall narrative shows some potential.
Everything else was too meh to really comment on; these 'meh' shows were dropped indefinitely. So, overall, not so bad at this point.
