Let's talk about the new XBox One.
It looks ridiculous.

That's what it looks like? Sort of reminds me of a poster I saw one time of an ancient apple machine really.

It does not come with a water bottle, but other than that yeah, it's pretty much the XBrick.

I don't want to talk about the x-box one. I just want to sit here and be mad about it.

Why are a lot of people mad at the X-Box One?

This issue doesn't concern me much. I've never owned an Xbox; and frankly, if it flops, that will mean more business for the companies I do support.

PS4 anyone?
I say this, not to troll, but due to the fact i have lived in a Playstation only household all my life, and when comparing Xbox one and PS4 (even though Xbox got skype ; n ; ) I like the PS4 more

I'm reading this article, and the kinect 2.0 sounds like Microsoft's solution to bypassing privacy laws. The system apparently WILL NOT WORK without a kinect plugged in, and the kinect is always on, even when the system isn't. It's powerful enough to sense and recognize skeletal movements, facial features, and even heartbeats; so if you have an Xbox one in your living room, be careful what you do in there. I really hope this is exaggerated or just outright false because that is scary.
Also it sounds like the Xbox one will have all the ridiculous bullshit that makes people hate Microsoft's PC gaming platform, as well as all the other additional bullshit that makes people hate Microsoft in general. If this system doesn't flop after the 3DS and PSVita did, then the world is a dark, dark place.

I've always been a company neutral guy when it comes to games, although I usually spring for Sony's consoles because of Kingdom hearts and the lack of Xbox live fees.
All of this Xbox one stuff is drawing me further away from Microsoft though, and Sony's response is making me inch closer towards them. I guess I know what console I'm getting for next year.

I have found multiple sources that Microsoft is getting rid of its DMR policies that they planned for the XboxOne
What does this mean? •No more always online requirement •The console no longer has to check in every 24 hours •All game discs will work on Xbox One as they do on Xbox 360 •An Internet connection is only required when initially setting up the console •All downloaded games will function the same when online or offline •No additional restrictions on trading games or loaning discs •Region locks have been dropped
Basically everything they should of done before. If you like your xbox, good news, the new xboxone won't be a paperweight anymore. As for me, I'm still sticking with Sony. I never planned on even considering an xbox in the first place, but if I did, this whole fiasco would have been a deal breaker for me regardless if it was redacted or not.

They still require the kinect, as far as I can tell. And there is still the whole "actually a cable box" aspect. I mean, yeah, its not locking you out of your games, but that doesnt make it a good console.

What this whole thing says to me is that Microsoft will continue to exploit its users in less obvious ways for a little longer until they can sneak some of this stuff in again when nobody's looking. Inb4 all officially microsoft licensed games as well as at least some non-microsoft XBOX exclusives come with heavy DRM restrictions attached to the disc.
