yeah, that's a really helpful little thing to have bookmarked just in case more of the "spectral language" shows up. also i think doorman works for spender's organization, so that might be a big thing.

I really like that the Eagle standing behind Johnny is a spirit. You can see spectral energy coming from it. No abstraction is left unexplained.

So the PJ army is actually called the Activity Consortium. At least I think so :/ sometimes I am terrible at such allusions. BUT I BELIEVE I'M RIGHT.
Also Spender is so melodramatic. GAWD.

The PJ army is the activity consortium, Spender's conspiring against them, and the narrative has taken no standpoint on which of them is actually right. I think I like this setup...
