The ectoplasm hits you and you now our covered in it. It doesn't hurt, its more like he just splashed you with water, except it's sticky. Ewwwww.

Ryan:

You be hard pressed to find a place that was truly empty. You can summon water inside of thing things in your range but the problems occur in the actual aiming since you cant see the target so prescision is iffy and your not going to beat the resistance that the object pushes back in an instant and without serious concentration on the target. Basically, its not something you can do without serious cover fire and it is easy to miss

The beast is not waiting for you to wash the wound and takes his paw and swipes at you. Luckily it is a little slow thanks to the water its standing in.

Ah, well, that was the idea behind trapping its tail in the mud.Too badit didnt work. Ryan irritably dodges away from the paw with a "that'll have to do" shrug, cursing himself for trying something fancy. He could have easily evaded that if he'd focused on dodging. Hes avoided much larger, faster things then that prick of a tail... He creates a bunch of water in the pond to raise its water level, as he has the advantage in the water.

Ryan:

The sudden burst of water fills the pond over its edge that creates a wave that Ryan easily rides to get out of the way. The beast isn't so lucky, the sudden burst of water combined with it being off balanced trying to swipe at you causes it to be swept with the water and it slides on the slippery floor, rolling in the water trying to get its balance. It finally gets back on its feet after a second but finds Ryan's discarded wet shirt covering its face. It roars in confusion and tries to remove the shirt.

... I can't make up how lucky a roll this was.

Jeanine:

"You want to go at it. Come on, put up your dukessss" The snake leaps from the tree and lands in front you. It starts waving its tail like a fist. "I'm not about to loossssssssse ssssssssuch a prime local to a ssssssspectral"

Oliver casts two quick self-sustaining telekinetic pushes: one pushing the beast away from him, and one pushing the beast towards the ground. The first one is only strong enough to make moving towards him inconvenient, like trying to swim upstream in a lazy river. The second one is hopefully strong enough to make standing up an issue. Then, Oliver runs towards the beast at full speed; grabbing it's leg and attempting to flip it over his shoulder with telekinetically enhanced strength and then break its arm. Using his star rank martial arts abilities, of course.

I would like to assume that spirits have bones. They move more like animals than genies in comic, and that suggests some sort of skeletal structure. I imagine broken bones would be less of a problem to a spirit than, say, actual living things; but it would still be an issue. Your call as to whether or not this is true, but if it's not, Oliver would know that. So if you decide ghosts don't have bones, he will instead try to kick the thing in the head after flipping it over.

The first field of force catches the spirit by surprise, slowing its movements. The second field then slams down on the spirit, stopping its movements entirely, but it still stands. Oliver runs up and grabs a leg. His left glove flares with spectral energy as Oliver flips the spirit over his back to the ground. The spirit back slams into the ground, earth and dirt fly to the sides. It roars in pain and its paw catches Oliver's back and scratches down it.

It snaps at Oliver with its fangs, trying to bite his face off.

I'm going to say that spirits don't have bones from the fact that in their weaken state, their basically white gas and the fact when Edd cut into the into the whale, nothing inside gave any such indication. Ryan runs around behind it and jumps to grab it tail, pulling it straight down towards the creatures back. Once it penetrates/fails to penetrate the skin, he uses some more water at high pressure to sever it at the base.

Jeanine:

The two needles fly and grow in the air and pierce the snakes tail. The snake screeches in pain. "That'ssssss unfair. That'sss not how you conduct a gentlemansssssss challenge!!!"

It then promptly attempts to swallow you whole.

Ryan:

You swim through the moving water and jump on the creatures tail. The tail flops you around as it tries to shake you off, making you feel a little sick. Your goggles flair with spec energy and water burst with high pressure at the base of the tail. The tail rips off due to the force, sending you flying through the air and you land on your belly on the wet grass, the tail slowly dissolving in your arms.

Despite the slight pain none of this register's as danger to chase, he merely sees it as living out his dream of bieng a videogame hero.
Chase makes a break for the beast's tail snatching quickly to try and do a cool "hulk toss". Using his, now huge, upper back muscles and biceps, to try and toss the ferocious creature into a tree to hurt it in some way. "Oy, Your nasty , hehehe but IM WORSE"

Chase:

With the beast still stunned by your orbital drop on it earlier, you dash for it and grab hold of the tail. You swing with your might and the creature lifts two inches into the air before you hear a loud 'POP'. The beast lands back on its feet and yelps in pain. You are now holding a newly detached scorpion tail that is rapidly dissolving.

Ryan stands up, a little winded from landing. Well? You ready to get out of here yet? He stands there, guard raised, and regains his breath.

And a Gentleman can steal people's homes? I have asked you to leave politely, and I will ask again. I can find you a larger and unoccupied tree, as this one IS occupied.
She says as she steps back leisurely, avoiding the snakes mouth. She pulls out the needles and returns them to her sewing kit. Extending a hand (out of the snakes mouth range) she asks Will you accept?

Time to attempt a finishing move.

Oliver intensifies the downward force, and dissolves the backwards one. He then jumps away from the spirit's snapping jaws and uses his spectral energy shaping abilities to create a large, fearsome looking implement clearly designed for piercing. He throws the weapon like a javelin, actually firing it as a spec-shot, so that it goes above the beast and then arcs down. If aimed correctly, it should land right in the spirit's stomach.

MMA includes weapons training. Oliver has adequate experience with javelin throwing.

Jeanine:

The Snake easily corrects its path at your lazy dodging and Jeanine is promptly swallowed by the giant snake as she tries to finish her statement. Needless to say it is incredible uncomfortable. Jeanine is alive and well, but majorly uncomfortable and starting to have a hard time breathing and going down smooth thanks to being lubricated by ectoplasm.

Ryan:

The beast finally gets the shirt off its face and looks at you angrily. It doesn't seem to understand your words and struggles to charge through the water at you.

Chase pounds his fists in excitement "come on. COME ONNNNN, gimme a reason to put you down!" he says tossing the dissolving tail onto the ground and stomping on its remains to taunt the beast. he laughs happily at the excitement of a fight.

Oliver readies his spirit javelin when he hears a large roar from the side. He turns startled to find a second beast that looks exactly like the first one charging him. Now he has to decide to continue with the blow or change tactics.

Chase:

Chase the lion looks at you in outrage and in response to your challenge, takes a large swing with its right paw at a nearby tree, on of the younger ones. the tree snaps and starts falling in your direction.

Chase, distracted by the tree, stops paying attention to the beast and pays attention to the oncoming tree, he turns away to punch ,said tree leaving him wide open to attack

Chase:

Your fist slams into the trunk of the tree and the tree shatters on impact, breaking in half and not hitting you. The beast takes advantage of this and swings around and tackles you down on the ground from your side. It is now standing above you, ready to bite your face off.

Confident that the first beast cannot get up, Oliver turns towards the new threat and tosses his spec-shot that direction instead. He concentrates on it, ready to turn it sideways if the beat attempts to dodge.

Oliver:

The spec-shot spear fires from Oliver's hand and flies toward your target. While Oliver is correct that the first beast cannot get up, he forgets he has limbs, long limbs and its scorpion tail swings and takes his feet out under him and Oliver falls forward in surprise.

The second beast does attempt to dodge the in coming project, but Oliver manages to hold onto his concentration despite falling flat on his face and is able to correct the path of his shot and the javelin lodges deep into the second beasts left shoulder. It cries out in pain and tumbles forward and out of control like a bad car crash.

Chase's facial expression changes from that of a playfull child to that of a rather corncerned adult "now now kitty, no scratching the neighbors . . . he says as he raises his head up quickly into the cat headbutting it with all his might "HAHAHAHA MAN! i ALWAYS wanted to try something as cool as that!" he says as his childlike enjoyment returns

Oliver remotely controls his spectral energy weapon, causing all of the energy it is composed of to gather inside of the beats's body through the puncture wound. He then has the whole thing balloon out violently, resulting in what is effectively a large expanding ball ripping open the creature's shoulder. As an after thought, he puts up a small thin spec-energy wall a good distance away from him, between the first beast and himself. The wall blocks him off from the other beast completely. He also makes sure he is maintaining the telekinetic push on the other enemy, figuring it's much easier to deal with one at a time.

The wall he put up obviously isn't powerful enough to block anything, nor will he attempt to keep it up. He only put it up so he will feel that small bit of mental pressure from his energy being contacted if another attack is coming his way. That's also why it's further away from him- so he'll have time to react if he feels it break.
