I was thinking exactly the same thing. Pretty exciting stuff, since this situation really didn't need to get any more intense. Excess escalation makes me happy.

Still waiting for Johnny's gang to get wrapped up in all of this and become spectrals and then somehow Friendship Fusion becomes a real thing.

I think "Player 2" is either Isabel, since she helps Max during the mission "and saves him later on". Or Spender, who is the main character of the side-story in this chapter.

Huh. I always thought the "Player 2" thing was because everyone was split into groups of two during the mission; Max and Izzy, Ed and Isaac, and either Spender and Forge or an eventual Spender and Agent Day. But your ideas sound a little more likely.

Oh yeah. That hadn't occured to me. The stick is a pretty good indicator isn't it?

Eh, I don't think so. It looks like the stick is a tool that's been heavily influenced by her spirit's appearance, and since she was calling out to ask whether Max was okay she can probably see him just fine.

Considering what she was doing to the Ghost Train, I'm thinking it's like a conductor's baton that lets her manipulate spirits and people. Any other ideas about what her tool might be?

I pretty sure its now a bow, what ever it was cause it fires arrows, originally, it looks like it could be a plastic bouquet. Or maybe it truly was a bow at first. Need more shots and info.

It could be a walking stick. (I'm still hung up on the disability that she was mentioned to have.) Perhaps she has a limp?

New update, and it looks like Agent Day is probably blind, since she had to stop and have her spirit confirm what she hit. She is however, most definitely the most adorable person in the comic~

But then another point. Agent Day didn't seem to recognize Max, but why did Max falter when he first saw her?

I assumed it was because he was expecting someone much less disarmingly cute. Could you shout at that face?

Maybe Agent Day's spirit (50 bucks it's a cupid) allows her to "see".
Sort of like sensing everything around you.
