given max and isaacs seeming protag-rival relationship, i wouldnt be surprised if they and/or their spirits duke it out at some point.

and speaking of spirits, i get the feeling that isaac loves doorman way too much for it to survive the entire comic.

Mr. Spender probably knows about the Doorman. I have a feeling he's going to be quite the antagonist in the near future, he's definitely edging towards some sort of menace.

I feel as though he'll be less of an antagonist, and my of an... obstruction, of sorts.

I'm inclined to agree. There's a dramatic double-death there in the future. Perhaps a big turning point for Isaac.

double-death? and given the kid's temper, id imagine losing the one thing that really kept him in line ain't gonna make it a pretty sort of turn.

I would like to address an earlier issue. What was Mr. Garcia doing in the river? (besides floating, :3)

so far we have no way of knowing, but I believe a couple of theories floating around are/were:

He's dead.

He's somehow related to Doorman.

He's unconscious with his eyes open and floating down the river.

He shows up in Chapter One as being rather tired. He probably has a crazy nightlife.

Probably one that includes a double identity. Maybe fighting rogue spirits? That's clear-blue guessing, though.

Also, speaking as a young man from the rural parts of America, floating down the river isn't a very unlikely outcome of an *ahem* avid nightlife.
